Privacy Policy

This page summarizes Hallenby privacy commitments in plain language. It should be read together with the product security information and may be updated as the service matures.

How Hallenby is designed

Hallenby is built as a private household continuity vault. Vault entries and files are encrypted in the browser before storage, so Hallenby is designed not to read decrypted vault contents.

The service still needs operational metadata to run accounts, households, invitations, storage references, support workflows, and security controls. Operational metadata may include account identity, household membership, timestamps, invitation status, ciphertext sizes, and related service records.

Current commitments

  • No advertising in the current product.
  • No selling personal data.
  • No support access to decrypted vault contents.
  • Metadata-only admin support surfaces.

Important limits

Browser-delivered encryption does not remove every risk. Your device, browser, extensions, login credentials, vault password, recovery kit, and the delivered application code still matter.

For a fuller explanation of what Hallenby stores and cannot read, see the security FAQ.
